Leading Workwear Suppliers
Established in 1989, we are an independent family-owned business based in Knaresborough, North Yorkshire. Our mission is to improve working life and productivity by supplying innovative clothing and solutions which protect and enhance the value of people.
We operate from our purpose-built high-spec premises which consist of a 3-storey office, production space and 18,000sq ft warehouse. This means that all departments, from design to manufacturing and distribution, are always working closely together resulting in the best service for our customers.
From 1989…
Clad’s humble beginnings began in Richard’s garage and within a year, rapid growth provided us with the opportunity to relocate to a 1,000sq ft shop on Starbeck High Street. By 1994 we had expanded and moved to a 6,000sq ft warehouse where we had more space than we knew what to do with.
To 2019…
In 2011, after four years of development, we moved into our new purpose-built, high spec premises. With a 3 storey office, production space and 18,000sq ft warehouse, we have plenty of room to expand and meet our ever growing demand! 2019 has seen us celebrate our 30th Anniversary, a date we could only achieve thanks to our wonderful customers and the hard work of our dedicated staff.

OUR STORY

1989
1990’s
“When we first bought the antique store in 1990, we couldn’t afford a professional sign. Instead we got creative and pulled an old staircase out of a skip, cut it up and painted it ourselves.”

1990

1994

1997
2000’s
By 2000 Clad had begun to shift away from selling to small local businesses and more towards supplying larger companies, kitting out entire teams with workwear and PPE.
Clad’s overall service package expanded, as we developed our business model to meet the demands of our customers.

2011
2010’s
The move to our current premises made a massive difference to our output capabilities, with more space and improved facilities. Clad is in a constant state of growth and development as we improve our offering and provide not only what our clients ask for, but anticipate what they need before they know themselves.
