Workwear made from recycled materials doesn’t have to compromise on appearance or functionality. Clad have been working closely with a number of our suppliers to develop a range of that is sustainable while also smart, functional and most importantly, safe.
Detail
The Safety, Safety Light and Safety Ladies from Engel has been designed to meet these requirements and more. The attention to detail is exceptional – all trousers have a click system that allows the wearer to click and remove tool pockets onto a button when needed.
Stretch
Comfort equals productivity; many items in these ranges have stretch features. The trousers have a 2-way stretch with high quality elasticity.
Environmental
We are very aware of the global impact of clothing and fast fashion on the environment. The Safety Light range is made from 50% regenerated polyester (REPREVE®) which is a lighter fabric made from plastic bottles. REPREVE® is traceable so we know that plastic bottles have been used in the manufacturing process.

Leo Workwear are another brand that have recently expanded their range of recycled hi vis clothing. EcoViz® RP, is a fully conforming 100% recycled polyester. It matches the wicking performance, weight and feel of the previous Coolviz fabric but the manufacturing process of EcoViz® RP produces 50% less emissions and 50% less carbon dioxide. This significantly reduces the impact of production to the environment.
