Clad Safety is delighted to announce the company has successfully achieved accreditation to become one of the Yorkshire Purchasing Organisation (YPO) approved framework suppliers.
A leading UK provider of workwear and PPE solutions, Clad Safety has recently gained approval to provide services under two Frameworks; Framework 1026 for the provision of Uniform and Workwear and Framework 1046 for the supply of Specialist PPE to the Emergency Services and Bluelight.
With over 30 years of experience supplying workwear, uniforms and PPE to a wide variety of industries, teaming up with the YPO was a natural fit for Clad Safety. The company easily met the specifications set out in the framework agreements based on the quality of their garments and services, their superior levels of customer service, account management, commitment to innovation, short lead times and speed of delivery.
With approximately 100 frameworks in place, covering over 30,000 products the YPO offers procurement solutions to a wide range of public sector organisations including schools, local authorities, charities, emergency services, nurseries and care homes. Established in 1974, the organisation has become the UK’s largest public sector buying group and remains 100% publicly owned. All profits made are returned directly to public sector customers, ensuring potential collaborators are able to make a real difference in terms of delivering social value and positive impact in the communities they serve.
As many businesses are reeling from the financial impacts of Covid-19, budgets have never been tighter than they are right now. The competing demands and escalating pressure to reduce costs and increase business efficiency, place all those in charge of budgets in an unenviable position. What is clear is that companies need all of the help they can get to navigate the challenges ahead.
By utilising the YPO frameworks, potential customers can be assured they are sourcing the best ranges of products available at the best prices without compromising on either service or quality. All framework approved vendors have been pre-qualified so the system is quick, easy and effective for both buyers and suppliers to use.
Under the Uniform and Workwear Framework 1046, Clad Safety are approved to supply all workwear and uniform categories including full head to toe ensembles, station wear and corporate wear, undress uniform, workwear, workshop and garage wear, footwear, healthcare uniforms, insignia, name badges, kit bags and accessories. All of the Clad Safety products are ethically sourced in line with the SA8000 Social Accountability Standard which assists procurement teams with meeting their net zero carbon objectives.
Through the Emergency Services and Bluelight Framework 1026, Clad Safety is authorised to supply a range of flame retardant clothing, specialist footwear and boots for both firefighters and the police force. In addition Clad Safety is also approved to retail numerous items of PPE in the form of police gloves, gauntlets, headwear, helmets and other associated products. These dedicated sub-sections of the framework cover the supply of cost-effective solutions for the PPE requirements of those involved in specialist training, structural firefighting, emergency response and rescue. All items provide the minimum levels of protection required by current PPE regulations and are backed by certificates of conformity, supporting test information and technical specifications to ensure garments procured meet the exact requirements of those purchasing.
